Blessing festivities Easter weekend
Easter weekend in Ulladulla would not be complete without the fabulous Blessing of the Fleet Festival.
A the action will kick off on Easter Sunday with the colourful Parade at 11.30am.
Thousands will line the streets to witness the wonderful array of floats carrying Ulladulla’s beautiful princesses accompanied by their princes.
The parade is led down the Princes Highway by St Peter, patron saint of the fishermen, and members of Ulladulla’s fishing families to the harbour for the traditional Blessing Ceremony at 1pm.
There will be entertainment on the main stage near the Civic Centre all afternoon. Browse the many stalls and exhibitions that will surround the Civic Centre area and you won’t go hungry if you visit the food court on the grass or the eateries in the main street.
Youngsters can head to the Civic Centre for some fun in the Kids’ Zone, with performances, painting activities, Lego corner and face painting.
The ever-popular Scottish Tattoo will fire up the pipes on the highway at 2pm and join the tug-o-war and the greasy pole as well as beach games down on the harbour foreshore in the afternoon.
